Hello all!

I've really enjoyed reading about your builds and mods, time to post my project. It will primarily be used for Salmon and trout fishing as well as some crabbing.

16' Grumman. Got it for a reasonable price given that it had rotten floors and had been neglected for some time.

What it looked like the day I got it. Top had some broken rivets and there were some stitches that had pulled apart. 3 cylinder, 25 horse Johnson 2 stroke. No trolling motor, but had the bolts through the transom where a kicker bracket had been installed previously.

Johnson died on first run (long story). Will rebuild eventually. For now it is replaced with a used 4 stroke, 25 hp Merc.

Seats out, ready to tear out floors.

Test fit of the new plywood floor. Love the open space. Would love to not put the seats/storage/livewell back in but I'm not sure how that will effect the strength of the hull???

Fore deck off. Will end up putting a 12 gallon permanent main tank here. Pics to come soon.

2 Craigslist scores: 4.5 horse Evinrude (traded for an iPad I got for free) and the kicker bracket that I got for $35 (took $36 worth of new stainless bolts and nuts to bring it back to life, still a bargain).

That's all for now. Thanks for looking!

Cool boat, I like the layout. I think you need some type of boxes on the sides to give it some more structural integrity.

PS, this thread should be over in the project modification section. I have no idea how you would do this though.
