Hey guys,

I'm new to this website and about to buy a 1648 allweld with a 90hp Yamaha jet drive.

I was not looking for a boat this small, but like the price so it is going to be a starting place.

I really want a 1752 or 1856 Blazer Sport or Super Sport.

Plans are to eventually buy a bare blazer boat and move all my rigging over and sell the allweld.
It is a nice boat just small.

Just wanted to see what everyone thought and get a starting place.
I will post pics as soon as I get the boat.

My parents have had jet boats and friends have them, but this will be my first. excited.

Why don't you go down in motor to save $$ and get a bigger boat? Is it rated for a 90?? Maybe the jet drive allows you to run a larger motor?

This is just the size boat I found with the motor already on it, No, it is not the ideal size, but as I mentioned thats why my plans of moving to a larger Blazer boat in the future is in the works.

And, I am not sure if the boat is rated for a 90 HP. Most 1648s are not rated for a motor of that size, but this boat has a strong well built transom and the motor fits it well.
