I bought this boat on the coast of NC. It has been used in salt water for he last couple of years. The carberators were rebuilt last year. The motor starts right up. Could someone tell me the condition of the transom. It has some small erosion around the bolts hat hold the transom. I would like to know what's under the transom. I am going to call lowe tomorrow to see if it has wood in it. The hull is watertight and the women painted the bottom with marine paint. I plan to work on the trailer wheels, motor maintenance, etc. I pulled the boat 6 hrs without any problems. I would like to haul it then deal with any transom problems after the season. I will try to post some pics. I think the boat motor and trailer was worth 2000.00 dollars. It seems I have to figue out how to post pictures from an IPad.

Maybe I should of took the pics up side down. You can see the hole in the aluminum around the transom bolt. I thought about sanding, digging out the defect and adding some west two part epoxy. Here is some more pics

Well I water checked the hull and the only hole I can find is the hole next to the transom bolt as pictured above. I also started the motor and it seems to be running hot. I think I need to have the water pump replaced. I will have to see the best way to fix the leak for now.
