I'd really like to fish some of those lakes in SD - walleyes are tough to catch here in Illinois :(

You know I hear that from people all the time hear also. I fish walleyes alot different then most in area. I learned how to go in weeds after them from Bass fishermen friends moving up here from down south. It has increased the size and amount of eyes I get greatly!!
Here's a coupe links that I believe nails it the way I approach going after those eyes everyone thinks are not there or unreachable. I believe strongly go fish where the feed is for them. Go to the restaurant after them, where they are eating, and serve them a meal they can not refuse. You will find much more active fish.

Thanks for the tips and if I get a chance to fish a walleye lake again, here or out in SD, I'll remember them :)

Nice! Love to fish for Eyes!

For fishingcop: pick up a copy of Walleye wisdom, by Al Linder. Not very expensive, and tons of info.
