Okay, so I am going to do a jon boat to bass boat conversion. I want to paint it blue and white. I know rustoleum makes an aluminum paint primer, but is there a certain type or brand of paint is best to use for painting my boat blue and white?

Rustoleum makes "aluminum primer" and it also makes "self etching primer". I greatly prefer the self etching primer.

Unless you are wanting to do a really fancy job and get a show room finish, I'd recommend just using plain old rustoleum paint. If you clean and prep the aluminum really well .... lay down a good smooth base with a self etching primer ... and spray the Rustoleum on in thin smooth coats ..... you'll end up with a very nice looking boat.
