Platform frame and plywood - Sealing

So I am in the process of Spar Urethane-ing my platform frame and plywood.

Unfortunately I did not sand between coats. Maybe the last coat if I can find another cheap can. (found a can at Restore for $4)

Can I spray a coat (or 2) of some rustoleum rattle can oil based primer, and or enamel to kind of lock it all in??

If so, would the carpet glue still adhere to the plywood?

No need for the primer, the carpet adhesive will stick to the urethane just fine.

Just try to get sufficient coats of urethane to make sure the wood is properly sealed before adding the carpet.
