Long story short....boat that the fishfinder was mounted on is gone and I didn't get a chance to pull the transducer or the power cable off of it. Now I have a new boat and would like to put the f.f. on it, but from what I saw the price of the transducer alone is over half the price I paid for the f.f. brand new! (it is a hummingbird piranhaMAX 210 I believe and when I bought it it was only 89 bucks) This price is was through an Amazon retailer, Hummingbird prices were insane. I don't understand how they can justify charging 89 bucks for the entire thing and then nail people that need parts for 50-60 or even more for these parts. I did find the power cable for a little less than 20, but so far it looks like the basic transducer, not even the model with the temp sensor on it, is going to cost me 50 some odd bucks! Anyone know of any place cheaper or am I better off to just buy another cheap f.f.? By the way, I bought the f.f. no more than 2 yrs ago so it isn't an ancient f.f. I am looking for parts for.

I just did a little looking around and it appears a very similar model can be had from Bass Pro for 59 bucks. That is just 5 bucks or so more than the price of the transducer....
