Primer questions

I've got all the metal on the topside sanded and primed with the self etching primer. I was going to paint with Rust-Oleum. Do I need to put another regular primer coat down before the Rust-Oleum?

No, any primer compatible with oil based paint will work.
This is two coats of Rustoleum over white primer. Put on with a brush and roller

Unless your boat will be seeing lots of salt water, just put on the Rustoleum oil based enamel over the self etching primer

If seeing salt water, I would do self etching primer, then clean metal primer, then oil based enamel top coats

i took a hiatus on working on my boat, im getting back to it now even tho the weathers crappy...since my boats gunna be in salt water allot ima go with total boat brand.

so the method 1960 yellowboat has is def cheaper and good too but i plan on taking my boat in salt water and using it allllot so ima make sure its a overkill because i might sell the boat in a couple years
