Do you think this dent could be pulled out? It's pretty deep, but not cracked from hitting a rock running shallow water. It's right inline with the rear bench seat so to pound it out I'd have to cut the bench seat open. The hull is .80 gauge I believe. I've used the boat for a couple years with that dent, but I think it's messing with how my boat runs when I am up on plane.

Do you have any close up pictures?? From there it looks like the dent is right in the bend from side to bottom. I don't think that pulling would be an option, but hammering it back out maybe. You need a dead blow hammer and a good size peice of steel to back up with. It won't come out perfect but you should be able to get her back to almost straight.

I don't have a close up right now, but your correct with the bend from side to bottom location.

I've got one just like it in my 14 footer on the same side except mine is covered by my front bench. Mine has no bearing on performance, but it looks like crap.

I've been pondering the same thing for years but have never had the drive to pull the bench and fix it.

It might not be affecting performance.....the boat just runs squirrely when it's just me in it and I'm up on plane. That's probably just normal since I have a jet and it's not a very heavy boat. Normally I have another person in the boat with me and everything balances out better and it handles better. That just sounded like a good excuse to me to try and get it fixed LOL.
