hey guys, i bought this fishfinder and just need to know how to install it. i know the transducer needs to be in the water. where on my boat do i put it in the water? where do i bring the cord in the boat. through the boat or just over the rail?

thanks guys

I have mine on the rear of the boat. It goes through the hull in a factory installed hole. I know alot of people mount the transducer on their trolling motors also but the usually have two. (one in the rear for when they are cruising and one at the bow when fishing)

Don't know if you purchased it new or not, so here's the link to your manual:

You want to avoid any place that will cause turbulance in the water. If there are ribs on the bottom of the boat, try and install the transducer inbetween them. When you're riding through the water, you want to avoid installing your transducer where "air bubbles" may show.

The manual will set you straight, just make sure to read it because there's actually lots of helpful information in there to help you along the way.
