Going to head down to the hardware store to pick up a entire new set of SS nuts and bolts for my restore project.

The transom has about 30-ish and am going to use them on the seat benches I removed as well...

Should I use SS washers (maybe the locking kind) or rubber?

I would figure rubber would help seal the gaps a little better?

But maybe the rubber ones will retire faster?

I dont know but what about the nylon washers? Wouldnt seel as good as the rubber but wouldnt wear as bad either. What u think.

Basically the same for me (nyloc and 5200).....except I did use flat washers.

SS bolts, nylock nuts, flat washers, and 5200.
Buy them the right length, so the nylock nuts come right to the end of the bolt, if possible. Or you can buy some cap nuts to protect you from sharp bolt ends, if desired.
