I am trying to figure out how to run a 2 battery system. Currently I have a 6 way switch panel that will run

nav lights, cabin lights/spot light, depth finder, marine radio, cd player and bilge pump

I use a 14' aluminum boat mostly for duck hunting and some fishing. I want the 2 batteries so that I can have longer run times and in case one goes dead. Any suggestions. Thanks

Hopes this helps;

Gives you in theroy twice the run time,you should use the same size
batteries in Ah and age also.
Two 12V 100Ah batteries in parallel gives 200Ah and still 12V.
Ex:say you have a 50lbs trolling motor
at wide open it draws around 50amps
with 1 battery going wide open you would go for around 2 hours
wide open with 2 in parallel will be around 4 hours run time
Just a rough example above, times vary with age and shape of battery.
Keep them charged as soon as you can.
Alot more run time the slower you go.
