So after rebuilding 2 SeaArks I was looking for a deal on a welded boat and had narrowed down my list. Found a 1995 Lowe 1648 with a trailer that has been totally rewired with a 2008 Yamaha 50 2 stroke. The engine alone is worth an easy 3000. I paid 3600 as you see it. Lot of planning to do but it’s solid.

Congratulations! You're going to love it. I own a 1648 myself. Mine is still in what you might call stock form but that's going to change soon.

Congrats on the find. You can do a ton with that boat. Take your time thinking out what you want to do, maybe fishing out of it as-is for awhile. Then you will know with certainty what modifications would enhance the boat.

Congrats again.

Thanks y'all.. going to be doing it slow year by year and little by little. Console is going this year, takes up too much room and I have a custom welded grab bar that I designed to hold my Simrad 12" GPS.. while I love the floor he put in, super strong.. too much reflection so I ordered some samples to put down of tile flooring that interlocks and it easily removable and then going to do Alumahawk Paint.. outstanding paint, not cheap but it is outstanding paint.. perhaps a few more things and time will tell but I've got a list I am working up.

It‘s not a speed demon but, I got it up to 37mph during the test drive. The hull is thick and it will be interesting to get it on a scale at some point. Also, being a used boat there are some minor repairs needed.

It wasn’t cheap and I’ll be selling some other toys. My older boat, a late 90’s Crestliner 1750 will get some new carpet and hull paint before going on the market this spring. Also up for sale is a sports car that I hardly drive anymore.

Any pics of the sports car?

It’s with my mechanic putting on a Yamaha big tiller losing the console and just scored a Bobs Jack Plate 2 minutes ago for 800.
