Went to the river to do some wading with my daughter and her boyfriend. Caught several smallmouth here are some pics of the biggest ones.
Live minnows was the bait of choice today.

Andrea, 17 inches ~4 lbs

Dennis, 18 inches ~4 lbs

Me, 23 inches ~6 lbs. Not a very good pic, I think there was water on the lense...

It is a blast for sure, Dennis and Andrea had the occasional sit down due to the slick rocks... LOL

Thanks guys, and yes you do Capn' and yes it is... Allthough there is the times the skunk shows up, but more times than not there is always something to be caught.
Besides the New River, there are several creeks to wade fish around here also. I think my next wade trip will be a creek, the one I fish the most is stocked with trout starting in Nov I think, but after June 16 you don't need trout license. So I'll be going for Smallmouth, Redeys, Gills, and trout. There are also some pretty big Common Carp there also...
