Sunflower seeds.....random pic.....no reason

Here's a random picture of my sunflower seeds. been a good year.

Cool! What happens next? I assume they are dried somehow? Do you do anything else with them or just eat them like that?

I randomly eat on it. It's on my workbench right now. When I'm out in the shop (which is all the time), I pick at it.

Nice. I drie mine in the sun for a few days. Then put 1 out at a time for the birds and squirrels

I grew those, too, back in Oregon, but was disappointed that very few seeds seemed to have good sized meats in them. Then I discovered Dakota Style Jumbos at the grocery store, and never looked back.

This is from a packet of "Mammoth Sunflower" seeds I poked in the ground in late spring. The deer nipped probably 80% of my plants when they got about a foot tall. That's ok though...... the deer will taste better than the seeds come winter.
