Just couldnt resist,I bought a 5hp suzuki this afternoon.The price was right$50.00 couldnt pass that one up.Motor is all there, gas tank n hose .I will have to find the cranking mecanism tough,the guy who had it, was starting it with a piece of rope on the flywheel...didnt see it done tough,somthing is broken off, my guess is thats the cranking mecanism.It was his wife that sold it to me,I usually try to bring the cost of whatever I'm buying down...but get this, this couple has 10 yes ten children the house was full of kids, they are moving back east..I just gave that brave woman the money and did not even check the motor; if it doesnt work i'll just consider it as an act of charity.....Back to my question now, the serial number is d-16782 ....also written dt5 there's another number that says 0501 dont know if its revellant or not; would shure like to know the year of the motor cant quite figure how to find it on the net...thanks for any help Mike
