Hello and thank you for creating this group,
I have joined so that I can learn from all of you. I spotted this 1959 AlumaCraft boat in someone’s backyard several years ago. I’ve always admired the look of tumblehome on various vessels throughout my life. In spite of the fact that she had been left unattended for years with weeds, growing all around her, full of leaves and dirty water…she could not hide that sexy tumblehome! Fortuitously the owner, a young woman with a head of bouncy curls, had little interest in her so we traded! I did a portrait of two children for her. ( the boat had been owned by her Michigan Grandfather)
So here I am FINALLY making an effort to gussy her up a bit. I wouldn’t say restore….But clean up and make her feel pretty again. I have distinct plans I need guidance accomplishing them.
I’ve been on boats all my life but of a different variety so I need to consult. Not sure this is where I’m supposed to put photos of her so maybe I’ll attach one or two and start a different thread.
Her name will be “Curly”
