Planning on replacing my throttle and shift cable on my 1994 Johnson 50/35 jet. I have a NOS Johnson control box that I have already broke the cam on because of a bad cable. The current cables I'm using are used and in decent shape but I'd still like to get new ones. Are the Teleflex extreme cables worth the extra cost over the standard? If they are that much nicer or last longer I'm ok with the extra cost.

i have the UFLEX cables on my boat for my 2001 johnson, and they are much smoother than any teleflex ive used on previous boats. cheaper too.

Are there different types of uflex cables? I need to get some too and could use some advice about the best ones. I have Yamaha controls.
