To ALL,
For those members, who have followed "the never-ending saga", (over 4 weeks) of trying to get in to pick-up the 1956 CADILLAC 141 UTILITY RUNABOUT on a trailer, I finally got into the property (and did NOT get bitten by any of the four MEAN-tempered watch-dogs!!!), picked-up the rig and towed it home, AT LONG LAST. = Today was the FOURTH 37 mile round-trip to get it!!!!
(We had to go back 10 miles into town & back, to buy a 17/8" ball as it was NOT despite "the nice lady's ABSOLUTE assurance", a 2" ball.)
The little rig is in GREAT shape, the trailer pulls BEAUTIFULLY & it's currently "at the curb" in front of my cottage near downtown San Antonio.
(Now to get the little boat/trailer licensed/titled and then to POLISH it inside & out, RE-PAINT the floor the proper color of yellowish-green and get the 18HP OB put on.)
I'd guess that "the bottom line" is "all's well that ends well" AND this should be BY FAR my easiest restoration.
yours, satx
