I've been looking for a jon boat. On Craigslist I came across a 9ft x 47" in the middle. Does anyone have experience with a boat this small? It is really wide for it's length, so it might actually be kinda stable. Thanks

There it is...it looks pretty wide, so idk

I would grab it and dont look back, that boat here in FL witn no accessories will go for about $300.

You are getting a great deal assuming no leaks or other mayor defects...

thanks for the input. What would y'all say is about the mininum width for a boat that is getting a deck?

While it may be stable you also have to consider that being only 9 feet long it's total load capacity is gonna be on the low side. But it is still worth the money he wants for it.

I'd jump on it..especially for the price.

I'd guess it'd handle 350-400lbs...a typical 10x32 is spec'd for 325lbs.
That'd make it comfortable for two guys on a calm lake....it'd be a great candidate for "electric only" lakes.

I'd buy it as well if I fished alone the majority of the time. If I usually fished with a buddy, or family.....I'd hold-out for a little larger boat.
