hey guys, just got a 12 foot'er what i think is a sears gamefisher (it says sears on the side) and i'm wondering if i should put a lug in it, before i mod it? and what kind of work that might entale

I would.....it's a lot easier to pull the plug as opposed to tipping a modified boat up to drain it. Never know when you'll get caught in the rain. Now's the time to add one

Buy the assembly, get a proper-sized hole-saw, and follow the directions.

Buy the "body" & plug assembly. Locate where you want to install it (at a low point in the hull), drill the proper sized hole & bolt holes, add some good sealant to the flange & bolt it on. It's pretty straight forward & simple job, you shouldn't have any problem.

I usually fasten the plug to a piece of brass chain & attach it to the transom so I don't have to hunt for it......and it's handy in the event I forget to install it prior to launching #-o

Welcome also by the way
