Todays projects on the tinboat!

Ok so today i:
-installed installed a second battery up front for the troller.
-installed a charging bank.
-moved rear battery.
-installed stern light and bow light
-installed bilge pump and through hull exit feed.
-cut hole for control panel.

Tomorrow its fishing wires to connect nav lights, bilge pump, & connect all to controll panel.

Got all finished connecting everything!! And YES theres a 50A fuse at the battery going to the switch panel!

Just looking for a way to secure down the gas tank.. Cant figure that out yet! Also gotta get my Yeti cooler mounted down somehow. I know Yeti makes some cool boat tie down straps.... But there NOT $50.00 cool.. ;(

Next project is boxing out the stern with compartments, and extending out the casting deck with compartments, then the floor!

well, since you asked - - - - -

personally, I am not opposed to drilling through the hull to
attach strap clips to hold stuff down. (but, that is just me).....

also, in my opinion, after you get the gas tank fastened in its
permanent home, I would have only the amount of fuel hose
required to be neatly tucked to the hull as you have it now
and move the squeeze bulb up to where it will hang vertical.
Just make sure it clears the clamps when turning the motor.
Inside the squeeze bulb, there are no springs - - - only two
plastic balls that rely solely on vertical gravity and pressure to work properly.
(mess with either of those two (vertical gravity/pressure) and you could get less than
optimum performance in your fuel delivery).
and, install an inline fuel filter just below the squeeze bulb.

Why :?: do you feel the need to secure the gas tank down?

I never have in any tin skiff I have owned, and never had any issue either, but admittedly none were jon boats ...

Random thought here: If you wanted a small back deck but wanted to still drive from the pod it would be neat with that setup to put some tracks in those corners and install a piece across it which could be slid almost all the way back to allow you to drive from sitting on the pod (if you like that) but then be slid forward all the way to give you a standing or seat platform. May not be possible nor what you want to do but thought I'd throw it out there.

-Jackplate
-extend out casting deck with aluminum studs and 1/8" aluminum decking with 3 fiberglass compartment doors.
-front seat and mount
-rear seat and mount
-box out stern with aluminum studs and add 2 fiberglass access doors.
-powerpole or powerpole "micro"
-gps fish/depth/plotter

That pop rivet gun with the mandrel catcher is a great Idea for these boats. When I removed my knee brace I found a clump of rusted ones under it. Who knows how many are under the ribs! Good choice there!

Got the front all framed out and the hatches framed out with battery tray compartment! And got the stern deck started out!
