Hey all,

I am in the process of modifying my flat bottom jon boat. I was going to install bow/stern lights, and possibly LED step lights for the floor area.

I have seen toggle switches at i-boats.com and was wondering, how exactly do you install them? If I am going to only have one, maybe two toggles at the most, how the heck do they mount?

Here is the type of switch I am referring to: https://www.iboats.com/Marine-Toggle-Switches/dm/cart_id.968526269--session_id.719208480--view_id.216627

They install by passing the switch end into a hole then a nut to tighten. You will need to find a place you can mount a switch panel (home made or prefabbed) or by finding a suitable flat area you can access from behind and drill the holes yourself.

hm, that's easy enough. It would be nice if I had a steering console but I suppose I could make a "trap door" and mount them in a box that way................thank you for the response

Look at this picture and you will see where mine had to be mounted. Could have a box surfaced mounted too for the switch panel.
