I have searched through the previous topics on trailer wiring but am still at a loss. I installed a t connector wiring harness on an Isuzu Rodeo and the only lights i can get to work on my trailer are the front flashers and these only work when the taillights are off. When i put a circuit tester on the vehicle connection none of the sockets light up. I have made sure that my ground wire is on a clean spot on the vehicle(screwed into the frame also cleaned with solvent and sanded). I checked all the t connectors to make sure they were properly connected. The vehicle tail lights and blinkers still work(wouldn't this eliminate a blown fuse?) Is it possible that my ground is not good enough? Any help is appreciated.

It very well could be the ground.
You could also check each socket to be sure the contacts are clean
if you have a tester check the plug at the back of your truck and see if you have power there and work your way back

good luck

Someone can probably help you better than me but, do what Redbug said. I bought a t plug for a jeep and it did the same thing. I took it back and it turned out to be a bad t plug.

exactly what style harness are you wiring up 4 or 12pin? i may have a wiring diagram hiddin around here somewhere, what year / motor ( count 8 #'s back from end of vin) is your rig?

You sure that truck has a grounded frame?

Run a ground wire back to the battery to eliminate the ground as the problem. If you still have the same problem with a ground wire on the battery then suspect your wiring harness or the harness connections. I doubt its your fuse if your blinkers (not hazards), running lights, and brake lights all work like normal on the truck. Hazard lights are run through a different fuse than the blinker lights, its a safety thing. Also a different fuse for the stop lights. again its a safety thing. Check your owners manual for trailer wiring information.
