After much analysis/paralysis, I went ahead an installed my transducer pad.

Materials:
HDPE (1" thick) cut to size.
SS hardware
#10 FHMS, flat washers and nylocks
3M 4200FC adhesive sealant
Flame treated the HDPE after sanding with 80 grit on backside and 220 on front and sides

I used one of the original transducer holes near bottom of hull. Drilled a new hole 4" up from that one. Hole sizes were #10. The unused second original transducer hole was plugged using a #10 sheet metal screw dipped in sealant. I then drilled out a depression in the back of the pad so the pad would clear the screw head.

I did countersink the two #10 mounting bolts on pad.

I pushed sealant in each hull hole, ran a thick 1/2" bead around the perimeter of pad, put a thick amount of sealant around each hole where screw protruded, and mounted.
NOTE: I forgot to dip each screw in sealant...I did add sealant to threads on the back side of pad where bolts protruded from back of pad....I jjust forgot to cover the full bolt threads...there was sealant around threads on the back portion of bolts where the exitred the rear of pad. I also put sealant on each bolt head inside the countersunk portion of pad.

Bad on me for not covering all threads with sealant. I had the wife holding the screwdriver on outside while I tightened from inside. Because I did not fully cover bolt threads bolts, I'll probably now sink the boat:ROFLMAO:.
