I need some advise guys.I currently have 46lb thrust great white on my 18 ft Xpress center console. It has a very short shaft and is really to low for me to reach comfortably.I have an opportunity to purchase a 82lb thrust foot control, the cable steer type{also a great white}.What are your opinions on this type of salt water trolling motors. They dont seem to sell them anymore best i can tell. Also will the 8 gauge wire currently on my boat support a 24volt system.Any opinions or experiences welcome.{Also anyone else have a better one for sale }.For the record i do alot of bass fishing as well as several trips to the coast each year for inshore trips. Thanks :)

Not sure since i dont actually have the motor just yet.I will check into that.Thanks.
Any opinions on pros and cons of the hand control vs foot control.

I can drive my rig better with a foot control, plus, it leaves your hands free to fish, tie-on new tackle, drink coffee, smoke a cigarette, take pictures, etc. Now if I could only catch some fish, lol.
:)
