Trolling Motor Won't Spin

Hello fellow fisherman. I just bought a used a v that came with a Minn Kota ltd 24 (24 ld thrust). I've got it hooked up to a brand new marine deep cycle battery, but it won't spin. It's been on the battery for about two hours, but still nothing. I don't feel the motor trying to move internally when I try to get it goin and I haven't found any loose wires. Any ideas?

I just rebuilt my 50# 12v minn kota. When i took it apart iI needed to replace both sides of the armature bearings and seals. Water had got into motor housing and rusted everything. She would not turn even on a fresh battery. You can buy the whole repair kits for $35 bucks. Take the plate off behind the prop and see if this is problem.

Welcome, did it ever run before you bought it? like a test on a car battery?
