The weather men goofed up the forecast again. They called for S. 5-10knt winds for today and we woke up this morning to a brisk North wind at 15-20knts. It made it too rough to fish the spots were we caught them last week, so after a little running we located clean water and soon were on the fish. We caught 50+ Specks with about 20 keepers in the 1-2lbs range and one close to 4lbs.
I've been talking to Cathprod about fishing Hopedale and they took out their tinboat for the first time last Sunday. They didn't catch to much. They took their boat again today and broke their boat in good. I didn't get a chance to meet them or see their fish, but It sounded like they had a super good time. They said that they caught a ton of throw back specks (fun to catch anyway), several reds, and a few Flounder. Cathprod, glad I could help and we will hook up soon and make a trip.
