I need some help on deciding which size battery I need to purchase.

I have a 1998 Mercury 6hp outboard. Not sure if it is capable of charging a battery while running or not; still digging into that topic. I have no problem taking the battery out after a morning of hunting to charge it though.

What I am looking for, is based on the two links below, is how long a certain amperage battery will run the light strips and the spotlights. Obviously the lights won't be on constantly but I need to know so that I can purchase the right battery.

Please remember, this battery will only be running these lights.

^---0.4 amp draw per meter; I'd prolly have 6ft of lights on each side, so 0.16 amp draw total.

^---3 amp total draw.

So, let's say I get a battery that has a 10AH rating, how long will it run?

Here's my math

10AH/3.16 amps = 3.16 hours of run time. Am I correct?

for navi lights, flood light bar, led lights and phone charging, i use a tractor battery. Figure i didn't need to use my trolling motor battery for lights. Works great, usually use it 3 or 4 times and then charge it....don't know how long it'll last between charges, but figure thats not something i want to run out.

Do you have any specifics on that battery?
