At the beginning of the open water season, which means April here in the Northeast, I fish freshwater trout and salmon lakes. When they start to go deep in late June and July I transition to fishing for striper. I'm 45 minutes to the Atlantic. Sometimes Ill go groundfishing for a day. Then in Fall I will fish for freshwater bass and do a little coldwater fishing as well. I'd say I am 50/50 on saltwater to fresh ratio if I had to guess.

Grew up boating in the Annapolis, MD area. Sail and power. Still in Maryland and a little down the road although we're on a small 100 acre lake and therefore boat 90% of the time on that. Occasionally will drop a boat in salt water near Solomons Island, MD.

I started out launching in Spa Cove. Then moved south, and launched from Solomons, Breezy and Chesapeake Beach. I miss living that close to the Bay!
