what year is that Johson motor

Hi,just bought new to me,15 hp johson plain jane motor owner says its a 1980.. just to be shure what does J15RCSD tell you?Think its gonna need a new prop and water impeller so would like to be shure of the year thanks Mikey

Wouldn't that be an 1980? That's what I get when using the attached OMC model year guide. Top of page 8, 3rd one down from the top ... '15RCS'
