wiring harness 35 hp evinrude

im trying to work on a 1976 35 hp evinrude the wiring harness is shot been looking for new or used one with no luck any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if i have to try and rewire it what type of wire is used on them thanks

They turn up on E-Bay but are usually high priced. You may want to check with a boat salvage yard in your area.

Just re-wire it.Take 1 wire at a time.I would use tinned wire,but just make sure you use the right gauage wire.

You may want to contact Bobby Chapman, there is a thread in the motors section with his info. I bought a part from him for my 1976 Evinrude 25hp, he informed me he has a salvage yard full of Evinrudes.
