    Zoysia Grass

One of the local, private golf courses has a well established stand on it in 'off fairway' positions. In the early fall it is really weird to see when the fairway and greens are still a lush green. Hey it is early spring; I may go take a pic for you cause I bet it is still brown.

    Zoysia Grass

Nice looking in the really warm weather. I don't care for the 6 months of brown and that may be longer in MA.

    Blazing fast new computer

I build my own systems and I always wait for the third roll out of any new OS before I even consider buying it. It usually takes that long to really make it work. :) Some don't even live that long. I choose to install win 7 on two systems I built in Jan 2013 even though I paid 2.5 times the...

    Rust-Oleum spray paint cure time?

That is fair and honest. I suspect DrNip is on target with his reply. My problem is I never get the coat light enough so I always need extra dry time.

Catctching Mud Bugs in a trap....What bait?

We always seined for them. Never thought about trying to trap them.

How tight did you make your side bunks?

On my side bunks I allowed 1" of clearance on each side. The vertical guide poles (PVC covered angle iron) at the rear have a couple of inches on each side. My side bunks usually do not contact the boat until the boat reaches the axle area as they are only about 10" tall. So far it has...

Do I really need a reverse??

My father in law always said, "if you are so close to the bank that you need reverse you probably are to close to start the motor". I surely did not buy one when I bought my Tohatsu 3.5 and I have not missed it. We use it on a 14/48 tinnie with 600 pounds of lard in the boat and love it.

Stability of a jon 1232 and other basic newbie ?'s

Probably, if you remain seated. My son and I fished out of an old 12 with just a trolling motor and single battery before I upgraded. As long you remained seated it was stable enough. IMO: 16' canoe = 1, 12' 48" beam v-hull =5, 14' 67" beam=9 on the 1-10 stability scale. The v-hull would...

I hope you swim and that shoot Pentax WR cause if you put in that boat that is what is going to happen.

    Plywood finish question

I can't answer the boat specific part. When it comes to paint in general you can also put oil over Latex but latex over oil often peels and flakes. Like the others mentioned, I would seal with Epoxy and paint with whatever I wanted.
