That might work. Just leave it plain aluminum up front and maybe carpet it? How thick of wood do people typically use for decks?

Seems like it's about 1" lower on the bench. If I raise it then I guess I need to add a board to the lid of the storage box in the bench.

I just recently got a 1448 20 MV from Alumacraft and the front mini deck is not the same height as the bench with the storage compartment. Do you guys typically raise up the bench so it's level with the front ? What do you recommend. I'm wanting to connect the two places with aluminum framing...

I got a 1448 MV jon and was wondering what's good # of thrust for the front. I got a 24v system with a 80 lb traxxis out back to move me around the lake quick. Should I go with something similar up front or is that way overkill for fishing?

Plug won't fit here since it's oval: Fits from the inside: I've only had v-hulls in the past and always plugged from the outside. Do all the jon guys plug on the inside of the boat?

Just got my first Alumacraft 1448 V jon boat. The plug hole on the outside looks to be smashed down and more oval looking. Does everyone plug these on the inside of the boat or on the outside? Just curious if mine is damaged :)

Is it possible to paint over the existing paint of a jon boat, like alumnacraft if it's brand new? I'm not a fan of the olive green color and want to change it, but don't want to sand down a new boat :) Could I clean it and possibly paint over the existing paint?
