Like everyone else I know, for most of my life I needed a can of OFF or Cutters handy or I'd get eaten alive. Not anymore. Not only do they not bite me, they take off like I'm the plague. I stir up big swarms and they instantly disappear. I offered one my arm the other day. Landed for about a second then took off like my arm was on fire. No, I'm not complaining. This is GREAT! I just don't understand it. I eat the same foods, use the same personal products. Started getting less and less bites 2-3 years ago. Now I don't get any. Anyone ever hear of anything so bizarre?

Up untill around 2015ish I swear I was bug resistant. I attribute it to time spent in the military dousing all my uniforms in permethrin my body absorbed it over the years. It's since worn off and I now carry off deep woods with me everywhere I go lol.

When the mosquitoes get bad here, 2 of them hold you down while another sucks your heart out.
I must use spray or people would think I was on a weight loss program. Deep Woods for me.
I do know people who don't need any protection for the needle nosed bug. Not sure why you and others aren't affected, but don't complain.
One question. Do you live near a nuclear power plant.

Actually not all that far from a nuke plant, but not sure if it hasn't been decommissioned. Radiation is still there though I'll bet! I'm honestly amazed by all this and still having a hard time believing I'm not nuts.....which maybe I am. Do skeeters not bite nuts?

Something else weird. A couple weeks ago I found what looked like a tick on my thigh while sitting on the john. I had not been outside yet that day. Picked it up and squished it. No blood? It did make a small mark on my leg, which is still not completely healed. I've only had a tick twice before and both times they were swollen up like balloons and tough to get off. Maybe all bugs hate me now? I sorta feel like I have a superpower.....LOL

Did you start any meds about the time they stopped bothering you? I have a friend with a similar experience but I don't remember what the medication was.

Here is my last encounter with a tick: TICK

I highly recommend calling your Dr and they should provide a Rx for a couple day supply of Doxicycling.

When my dad was alive he had to start taking vitamin C. Mosquitos never came near him after. I use Avon Skin So Soft Tick n Mosquito repellant. I got bite by a tick 9 years ago and contracted Alpha Gal Syndrome. Ruined my life. Be careful with ticks cause you don't want to get that.

No more beef or pork for you? That's awful. I'm sorry.

Just take one pill a day for blood pressure. Been on it for quite awhile. Started taking a Vit D pill every morning about the same time though. I eat a lot of fruit. Especially citrus, so C level may be elevated. Hope I don't get any tick disease. Not 100% sure it was a tick, but if not a tick I don't know what it could be. Barely broke the skin, no symptoms so far.

Yep, sucks, with that being said I have learned to cook chicken, seafood and emu 1,000 different ways, LOL!

Americans eat more chicken than anything, and I know I do, but still not having the option to eat beef or pork would ruin me.
