Looking at sun and great temperatures in the 60's to low 70's, but wind gusts at 25 - 35 mph are keeping me off the water. Looks same for the next 8 or 9 days. It is driving me nuts!
Same here in my area, we are experiencing winds in excess of 40 mph and waves in excess of 4-5 ft tall...way to much for my 16' tinney. What makes it worse is knowing the season is about over and winter is just around the corner.....

Well, since it looks like the wind forecasts for the lakes is not improving, plan B is to head the other direction for some surf fishing. Should be mid 60's with wind max at 12 mph. Got a high tide at about mid day to fish through. At least I'll get some exercise.

I was hoping to go out one more time with the boat. However, winds gusting up to 40 mph canned that idea.

November's schedule is just too full for more boat days.

I'll winterize the boat tomorrow.

Time to start thinking of my upgrades for the 2025 season, if any. I'll take the outboard off the boat and do the impeller over the winter. Might add something like a Garmin Stryker to the forward fishing position on the boat and use the US2 feature on my TM as the sensor for that.

On the plus side, my annual fly fishing trip to Southern Missouri is in two weeks...

I had hoped to get out one more time but I'm in the middle of a kitchen renovation and hunting season is coming up fast. We got out last week and had a good day and it gave me a chance to tow with the new truck. That kept me off the water for a few weeks too couldn't tow anything untill I hit 500 miles and then only below 50mph untill I have 1k miles.

What truck did you get?

What truck did you get?
25 ram 1500 warlock with the hurricane straight six twin turbo. Traded in a 21 ram 2500 diesel. Our family farm finally bought a 19 ram 4500 so don't need to use my personal truck for the grunt work anymore. Forgot how nice a 1500 rides and it takes off from a stop light like my trans am . Seriously feels like I'm driving a sports car compared to my old truck.

I loved my RAM 1500 Laramie with the eco diesel. Best truck I ever owned. We needed a family wagon to fit all the grandkids, so it was replaced with a Honda Pilot. I could have kept it but didn't want a spare vehicle sitting around. My son has it now.

So I take it you like the Hurricane engine?

My lease is up next year on my 2022 1500 Laramie and I have been apprehensive about going from the Hemi to the Hurricane. I am a Mopar or no car guy (as I own 4 lol), but have considered going for a *gasp* F150 with a V8.

Go test drive one and you'll forget all about that hemi. I was apprehensive about grabbing a first year model but the engine has been in the grand wagoneer for a couple years now. On the ram forums every previous hemi owner praises the off the line torque and overall hp. The HO Hurricane is north of 500hp & tq.

Great to hear, thank you. Planning on getting a Limited this time around. Im a fan of the Laramies, but the HO doesn't come in anything lower than a Limited.

Yeah the HO is trim specific as of now. I test drove a 1500 rho it was only truck on the lot with the ho version of the hurricane . Was a lot of fun to drive but it took a serious hit in payload and towing capacities. I'll still be towing up to 10k a couple times a year and the warlock has a 11,450 lb rating I think the rho was around 8000lbs.

I only have a little 14' lund to drag around, so towing isn't a deal breaker for me. I would rather have more HP. More HP=more fun. lol
