    Plywood for flooring

For your knowledge, the vinyl I bought was from cabelas. Exact color and texture, for a boat that was already some 6 years old. I’m feeling you with the budget!!! I’m down to $135.24 for this build. Luckily I’m pretty much done. Even the three new 14’ crappie rods came out of the budget. I...

    Plywood for flooring

Heed the above advice. In my opinion, if you want the wood to last longer, stay AWAY from carpet! Why? It holds water. I’ve had both vinyl and a “liner” (think truck bed liner). In various boats. Both shed water, neither hold water. Neither where slick when wet, both cleaned easily. Blood from...

For anyone using the Navionics phone app....

It's the cheapest alternative too a gps capable graph. It does require cell service though. A lake I fish has spotty cell service, navionics app either takes a long time to load, or will not load at all. Make sure to backup waypoints (in settings) before updating, I learned this the hard way.

GPS maps of areas real time.

Interesting. One lake I fish has spotty cell service (which I kinda like!), coincidentally, so does my navionics app. Maybe it's time for a new phone?!?

GPS maps of areas real time.

Get on garmins site, look for your bodies of water, see if their covered. Go to a store that has the units your thinking of, start playing with them. That will dispel any (or prove) questions you have. For the phone app, as mentioned - difficult to see in sunlight, and requires a waterproof...

    GPS Plotter vs Chartplotter

I recently purchased two Garmin echomap 73 sv plus units. Put a 32 gig micro SD card in it, I can map more lakes than I have the time for. Another thing active Captain app (via WiFi) does is makes updating a breeze. Put the update on your phone, connect to the unit, download to unit, done. Look...

Skunked today..AND..I left the plug out, too.

I've forgotten plugs, straps, gear, life jackets, cooler, etc. About the only thing I haven't forgotten is the keys. I have faith though! Although I did loose a set of keys on the way home. Put them on the bumper while hooking up the trailer lights. Thankfully had a sawzall at home.
