I don’t have that unit but my experience with vevor is very hit and miss. Some of their stuff is great, some of it is garbage. Seems to just kind of be luck of the draw.
As long as it is in good shape, I'd leave the wood alone. Diamond Plate is going to get HOT in the sun unless you go through the trouble to paint it. I guess you could also cover it with something, but you'd lose the grip from the diamond plate.
Roofing material costs nearly doubled during Covid and haven't come back down much since (at least on the commercial side). We saw a bit of a reduction in the first quarter of this year but about half of that went away as of August/September.
During Covid, prices were going up nearly monthly...
I would not recommend using those panels as a boat deck. They look like insulation or decorative panels. The aluminum is paper thin and will provide little to no structural support. It will dent at the drop of a hat and puncture nearly as easily. They will also be slick as ice the moment they...
Good catch on the French. I didn't zoom in far enough on that plate to realize that it was printed in two languages. Since it is a bi-lingual plate, I'm inclined to agree that the 60hp rating was either a mis-read or a mis-print on either a provincial tag or a Canadian Government requitement...
Best guess is that it is a 15' Dane from either '66 or '67. The weight capacity is listed at 1500lbs with a max hp of 80 but it's the only Crestliner that I can find that matches the style, including the weird rib on top that was apparently designed to hold a cover.
Based on a leaked add, Bass Pro/Cabela's has some good deals on their high end electronics, a couple of the lower end Lowrance stuff, and year end clearance deals on a couple of their boats.
I work in commercial vinyl roofing, but I've never done marine vinyl, so take this with a grain of salt. I'd use an oversized round shaped patch over top of the base membrane. You want to have a couple of inches of overlap between the cut and the edge of the patch. You also don't want sharp...
If the wire will handle the load, I don't see why it would be an issue. I'm not super familiar with DC power though, so take that with a grain of salt.
Well I got all but the last one right, not too bad for gestimation lol.
I saw the link for the pdf form but I didn’t investigate further since it wouldn’t do me much good as a Texas resident. Unfortunately, without a HIN# or a capacity plate, it’s really hard to identify a boat based solely on...
You should be able to look it up using the VA numbers on the front. It's free in Texas but it looks like Virginia requires you to register for the service and pay a $1.25 fee.
This is the site that keeps popping up: https://vi.virginiainteractive.org/vi/premium-dgif.shtml
I read them as...
It's because of Zebra Muscles. We have them in something like 40 of our lakes, most of which are hugely popular either for recreation or fishing. The two closest to me are supposed to be clean, but it only takes one A-hole that doesn't follow the rules to spread them.
That is supposed to be SOP for all Texas boaters. You are legally required to drain all of the water out of your boat (including bilges, live wells, etc.) and remove any visible plants, animals, or mud from the boat and trailer after you get off the water. Failure to do so is a Class C...
