You won't find any brand of 25 year old boat that doesn't have water intrusion of some sort, nor can you buy one of the cheapest brands of boats and expect it to be hand crafted like a bently. They're good boats, you'll be very happy with it. Good luck on the build, buy some good drill bits!

I would dump the old fuel out and put fresh in it. Whatever traces of oil in the tank or line won't be noticeable or hurt anything
