I've just got a cheap masterbuilt electric smoker I've had it around 2 years now still going strong. works well I've used regular wood chips and pellets in it. You have to dump the pellet tray out and refill ever so often. I just bought the cold smoker attachment for it that should element the...

    TinBoats Decal

got mine in need to cut and bend a piece of aluminum to make a bump board with the ruler decal. I like that the ruler goes out past 30" so it will be good for measuring the bigger river kitties, and larger fish than bass. Jim was nice enough to throw in a pack of his senkos too, they catch fish...

Looking at a used boat - need some help

I'd rather have that old light weight two stroke versus a four stroke of the same motor. Those old omc 25-35hp two cylinders are solid little motors it will continue to run a long time. Wire wheel on a drill is what I'd use on the silicon, 1000 is a pretty good deal especially if the titles were...

    Bass fishing SoFlo

gnappi your lucky to have such diverse and good fishing down there. I'm not envious of the large city, but I am envious of the good snake head, peacock bass, and bass fishing you have all around your area. Not to mention the salt water near by too.

    Indiana lake

Fished one of the larger lakes in my state not too far from last thursday July 3. Normally would have rather hit a river for smallies but it was pretty muddy from a recent thunderstorm so I hit the lake on the 3rd before Fourth of July pleasure boater madness really picked up. Was on the water...

    New intake assembly

the wooldridge poly intake would be nice it just used the drop in flanged liner so you just get the appropriate sized intake and flanged liner for it. The down side is the cost of it. There is a russian company making poly intakes as well that are good bit cheaper than wooldridge ones. There is...

    River boat mods

I concur with what was said I'm wondering if a different larger pump can be mounted on your engine. I don't know your engine all that well but I do know for omc engines the r model pump fits v4 and v6 engines with a driveshaft change, but a larger pump is recommended for the bigger v6 engines I...

    Custom Pods

I've had mine on a few years now zero regrets about doing them, I did a full write up on them. They help protect my ducer a lot I mounted my transom bracket I welded on that sits right by my right side pod. So it's in between the motor and inside edge of pod. I welded a pipe to each of my pods...

mercury 60/40 rattle noise at idle

have you checked to make sure all the bolts that hold the outboard jet housing to the midsection are tight? If one is loosens up it could back out enough and be hitting the top of the impeller. Had it happen to me even though it's relatively new you never know.

    Impeller ID

I believe that is a wooldridge impeller I don't think anyone else makes a four blade stainless. I don't know them well enough to identify it just looking at it. I'd try comparing it to pics on wooldridge web site, keep trying to get a hold of them.

Trolling Motor Question 1 of 2

You could easily make a stabilizer I've never used one on my powerdrive v2 which I got used. My powerdrive has stayed outside in not so great indiana weather most the time it still works fine. But I do always disconnect my foot pedal and store in it in my rod box out of the weather as I know...

New Jet Motor advice for 16’ Xpress

You don't need a jack plate if you can set the engine at the right height directly on the transom. If your transom isn't high enough to bolt the engine directly on high enough your money would be better off spent to pay an aluminum welder/fabricator to weld an extension on your transom. I run a...
