    Rivets

Be forewarned however that pop rivets don't have anywhere near the holding strength of solid rivetsy so if its something structural to the boat I would go solid and wait till you can get help you'll be happier in the end

    Oakleys

Better believe it mine were so sticky I could stick it to something and the glasses would just hang there the lady at oakleys told me it was sweat that caused them to get like that and to me it just seems like a gimmick.

    Oakleys

Ear socks are just a fancy name for rubber covers for the legs of the glasses, they got sticky like flypaper and left black marks on everthing they stuck to including my temples. I paid almost 200 bucks for these glasses less than 1 year ago so even having to spend this measly 13 bucks+ shipping...

    Oakleys

Does everyone find it perfectly acceptable that oakley makes their earsocks a consumable part of their glasses? Mine are completely gummy disgusting and the lady on the phone at oakey said that is expected but they sell replacement sets whenever they get this way. I have never had this issue...

    Jet Propulsion Jon Boat question?

Im no expert in jet boats and there is actually a jet boat forum down alittle futher but I believe it's a pretty common for a outboard jet with the proper hull to run it 2'' of water. I don't think there very cheap so if you don't have deep pockets it may not be for you... My dream is one of...

    Life expectancy

Its going to stay covered when not in use I am simply wondering about the exposure it's going to get to salt water from fishing.

    Life expectancy

My plans for my mod are to coat plywood with 3 coats of spar urethane, then I am going to screw all the wood down in place and caulk all the seams and edges with a elastomeric caulk then I am going to spray the all the wood with ultra tuff or something similar. How long would you expect this to...

    Talk to me about outboards

You and I think very alike Pappy but I have to admit a brand new E-tec sure would look snazzy on the back of my '84 Tracker resto. 8)

    Talk to me about outboards

You really think so in my eyes I may have to work on an older one but the parts are cheaper and I can troubleshoot and repair myself vs having to pay for a shop to do it. I have toyed with the idea of going and getting a brand new E-tec but Im just unsure...

    towing a boat question

Better belive it and it hasn't been that long ago I saw someone towing a 20 something foot pontoon boat with one of those chrysler cross over thingies down the interstate. I have pulled one the same size with a 2011 cummins 2500 and know it had to be one heck of a ride it looked like you could...

    towing a boat question

I know its off topic but this weekend at the marsh there was a guy pulling a 19 foot bay boat with a 150 johnnyude with a 80's model Nissan 4 banger. :LOL2: I'm sure our Ranger will do fine with that little tin you have...

    Talk to me about outboards

So you are saying stay 86 and under if I want to be able to work on it myself easily. Seems these are plenty avaliable and very affordable just most I see as off the boat on a stand so I don't know how I would be able to test them...

    Talk to me about outboards

I am shopping for an outboard for my 17 foot basstracker and I am curious about what year model I should be looking for. Obviously older year models are cheaper but they are easier to work on in the back yard as well. A newer outboard will cost more but should be more reliable idealy. So where...

    painting a stripe

Same here except I am going with wood and coating it with ultra tuff, I am going to start out coating it in spar urethane then I am going to screw it all down and caulk it up then coat the whole inside with the ultra tuff. I am hoping it will hold up for atleast a few years like this I don't...
