I used the "cold weather" TotalBoat penetrating epoxy on 3 sheets of 3/4" and 2 sheets of 1/2" on a total rebuild of a 93 Lund Tyee 1850. Very easy to use and thin.

im thinking not that bad. It appears to be carpet adhesive for the most part. a 7" flapper disc is your friend. Should go shiny on the entire interior in a couple days.

i think you might have the same problem with Marideck. i have always glued, wrapped, and stapled. this time around i am gluing EVA to the wood and then gluing wrapping and stapling. Thinking nice and cushy on the feet.

i'd pass. force motors arent great and with all the missing pieces, i think i would look for a more solid boat. having said this, wander on over to tiny Boot Nation and have a gander. Tons o fun in all that stuff...only takes some skrill and a lot of time.

one thing to be aware of: Marideck recommends a solvent based adhesive if vinyl is being glued to epoxied boards. The water based adhesive needs bare wood and i encapsulated my deck boards in epoxy. i don't know what is in the "old guys formula" but Marideck recommends MD-102 for gluing down...

i think that is "unseen" contamination. Looks like someone put a can of "something" on that wood and it dripped and spread some. what temperature was this applied in and cured in? i have used gallons of Totalboat Cold Weather 2:1 epoxy with great results.

if its waterproof, why not do a 30% thin and try it on some end grain. let 2 coats of that to cure and then 2-3 coats non-thinned. if the epoxy is waterproof, it should turn the wood into soilid plastic. That's what i did but the product was made for marine use. I then glued EVA onto the sealed...
