Here are just a couple of pics I had on the server.

I agree that the flat may bend over time I was thinking of either bending a 90-degree lip on the sides and rear maybe about an inch tall for support and reinforce the mounting area for the turnbuckle. Lots of good points brought up on the designs.

I'm working with moving some of the batteries around right now to see if that will help, but may try the tabs soon. I have both 1/4" and 1/8' plate and aluminum and stainless hinge. Also more than likeley try the turnbuckle adjustment, once they are set it should stay pretty much the same set-up.

I'm thinking of making a set of adjustable trim tabs for my boat, just wondering if anyone else has made some and out of what material, I've seen that most of the ones on the market are Stainless I was thinking of using aluminum think it will work? Also I was thinking of some type of manual...

Well I figured that Codeman would have given a new update but I'll let everyone know that I helped finish the wiring this morning and we got her started with out any trouble. Just need to replace the transom and then we can give her a test run.

Yes you need to weld side supports, as you are talking about or one on the bottom to triangulate the bracket.

Wife and I are in, trying to get Codeman to commit also.

I've used swivels a lot and lately I've had several people say I need tostop using them. Just wondering what everyone elses thought on them are, I switch jigs and lures a lot and hate to cut and retie the line each time? Also if you don't use them do you have any special way to attach lures and...

Didn't they make the "Fishing Machine" I have one that my grandma gave me along with a pocket fisherman.

I've been looking at the combo units too, I'm just not sure if that's the way to go for me. I have two nice sonar units now plus I know how to oporate them, so I'm leaning toward the stand alone GPS. A buddy gave me the Garmin Inland lakes with Hotspots So I've been checking out the Garmin units...
