    Kicker Motor

Anyone recommend a minimum HP kicker motor for my Jet Jon? I have a G3 1860 CCJ and want to do some trolling on the lakes around here. Motor is a 90/65 Yamaha. Going to mount it on a kicker bracket on the transom. I have access to a 4.4 HP but am think that may not be enough. Any suggestions?

Think I may need a new impeller!

Cruising up the river today and hear a small thump. Turn around to see what i think part of a limb in my wake fly up. OK no biggie didn't sound bad at all. Immediately lost about 4 mph but the river was flowing pretty good and didn't think much of it. Fished for a couple hours with no luck and...

    New Addition to the G3

Finished up the install of a custom tackle solution for my G3 1860CCJ. Fish on Fabricators did a super job on the tackle box. Fit like a glove.

    Juanita River/Raystown Branch

Hey all. Anyone have any experience fishing the Juanita river at the south end where it flows into Raystown? Thinking about trying that out this year from the Late to south of Saxton. Is this River fishable with an Outboard jet boat? Would like to explore some new areas this year and any info...

Voltage Drop when using Anchor Winch

So I have installed a MK Deckhand 40 Anchor winch on my boat and am running it off my starting battery which powers all other electronics. I have it tied to my fuse block instead of directly off the battery with 8AWG wire and is fuse protected at 35A. I noticed that whenever I run it up or down...

Found a rock last weekend, advice needed.

Hit one of those **** submerged rocks last saturday. Busted up the drain outlet for the live well at the transom. Noticed the boat was taking on water when I had it out yesterday. At home I filled the boat up and I have a leak around this drain. It buckled the drain tube inside the boat up and...

    Fuel Tank Relocation

I have a G3 1860 CCJ with a Yamaha F90J. To me the boat seems very tail heavy. I was thinking about relocating the fuel cell to the forward deck where there are two stowage hatches. I have made the measurements under those compartments and even with the fuel cell located between the two hatches...

This winter has got to End!

Got my G3 1860CCJ all rigged up and ready to hit the River. Took a look at the Potomac at lunch today in Williamsport in the slight hope that it would cooperate as it is supposed to be 55 degrees tomorrow. Not a chance floating that tomorrow as theres still ice floating down and its defiantly...

    Yamaha F90J Trim Sensor Resistance

Hi All Trying to incorporate my F90J engine instruments into my 899HD SI via NMEA 2000. I have everything working tach, temps, etc but the Trim indication. For some reason it always reads 100% on my Hummingbird. OK figured that I have a bad trim resistor on the engine. Did find a broke tab that...

    Running Wiring

I have a G3 1860 CCJ and have just installed a 3 bank onboard charger in the center console. Hookups to the trolling motor batteries were only a couple of feet but I am trying to get my third bank run to the starting battery in the back. From what I can tell the wiring runs the length of the...

    Newbie

After 3 yrs of putting up and down the Potomac in a 17' canoe for smallies, I've decided to pull the plug on a used G3 1860 CCJ w 65HP Yamaha. Can't wait to pick it up next week and get it out on the river. My first real boat and am super stoked. Sure I have a lot to learn. Seems like a great site!
