Hey everyone, I had an eventful day out on L. Scugog. It started when I found the boat ramp not in the water yet. :-s So what happend was that I had to drive into the island in the middle of the lake and launch from another public marina about 10 miles away. I never knew where it was so it took abit of time to find it. So then when the boat was in the water. I found out my GPS/Fishfinder unit wasn't registering the depth once the boat was moving. So no biggie, it was the Lowrance LCX-25c unit. I used that as the GPS and my LMS-520c as a fishfinder. After that it was smoothe sailing. Surface temp was 55.4 degrees on 1 point. got 1 Crappie and a dozen Bluegill and Sunfish. I said after 1.5hrs at that area that I should stick around marina's. So I did and paid off. I got over 150 Crappie caught and released and kept 17 for the dinner. I had trouble with my Mitchell Avocet Silver 500U reel so I had to use my Walleye rig. Daiwa Theory 2000 and a 7' St.Croix ML Premier rod.

I need a new UL reel anyways. In conclusion it was a nice day. Diffucult to control a big 20' Lund Tyee when the wind is blowing you around with a 74lb thrust trolling motor. Wind was blowing around 50km/h (30mph).

Here are some pics.

Nice catch.

We are on the tail end of the crappie spawn here. They are pretty tough to come by right now.

Man, I def. have to find a crappie mecca like that. I would love to target and catch that many crappie.

Good job on the tablefare.
