Hey everyone, i'm new to the forum. I recently purchased a 1975 fiberglass vhull boat that was modded by the previous owner. What he did was repaint the outside, strip everything out of the inside of the boat and paint this inside with some type if steelflex or other aluminium paint. What i plan to do next with this boat is, strap down the cooler liver well, make some sort of bracket on the bow to accept a transom trolling motor(dont own a bow mount) and install the fish finder.

I have some questions though. First of all my original intentions with this boat was to deck the whole thing, but i now realize it is impossible to do that not only because there is no aluminum seam to attach the deck bracing to, but also that the floor is less than 2 feet from the top of the sides of the boat so it would be unstable. My question is, i really want to do some mods to this boat, storage is especially an issue, and i have thought hard but cannot think of any ways to install any sort of storage, do you guys have any ideas?

Here are the pics!

Not sure how much storage you will be able to add. The boat looks narrow, or at least I think it does. You might be able to add some storage along the sides where your knees will not knock into them when fishing. Not a bad looking boat though.

Glad to see another member with a fiberglass boat. I own a 70 something 15 foot Tuffy tri hull (fiberglass also). Mine is buried in the snow right now, yet it also needs some storage spaces added to it. Right now everything goes on the floor deck and some underneath the casting deck in front.
