I just purchased and oldie but a goodie it already has flooring in it but would like to make it just a plain jane fishing boat.. I would like to remove all the seats and install a casting deck on the front and 3 swivel seats.. I have been reading a lot and some says its okay to remove seats without hesitation and other sites says to leave them in I don't want to ruin this boat it is still in great shape.. so please help..

Please don't put much faith into my rookie advice #-o But dad has an early 70's 14' Mirro, and if I recall it has a pretty healthy extruded aluminum bead capping the gunwhale. The sides of the seats are an inch or better from the hull, and there's just an "L" bracket holding the seats at the top....keep in mind I said I "think" this is the case because I haven't looked in the boat for awhile. I'm just going to make an (un)educatd guess, and would think it'd be OK, but wouldn't remove more than 1....but check with someone here wiser than me, which won't be hard to find
