I bought this 14' Starcraft (not sure of the year or model, think it's late 60's or early 70s) for 25 bucks at a garage sale. I've already repainted the outside, now I'm going to put a deck in it. Lots of work ahead of me. Can't decide if I want to take the livewell out and make a different one or not yet.

SCORE!!!! Can't beat $25 for a boat. That's better than "free" because as we all know all "free" boats end up being anything but. Keep us posted on the progress.

Man, I wish my yard sales were that good! Looks like it's in great shape.

Thanks...next step is sawzall the benches out because the screws are rusted on it. I wanted to move the live well back a bit anyways. Then clean up, prime and paint the inside...

Can't speak from personal experience, but seems to me I've seen a fair number of posts where folks said they didn't use their live wells much or at all, and others who said the reward was not worth the effort.

but, like I said, dunno.

Have fun, be safe. Great buy.
