Well Iv'e lurked long enough and I am launching this project. A couple of my coworkers were cutting through a neighborhood in between jobs and they found my project. They offered the guy $100.00 or basically what is was worth in scrap. He agreeded and they loaded it up and hauled it away.

Let me take the time to thank Steve and Dana.... You guys Rock!!!

The boat is a 14' valco it was manufactured in 1981. Its a rivited boat and had all the seats removed basically as you see it here. I didn't take a true "before pic" so the pics you see are with some work compleated. More on that below.

So the previous owners pried off the existing benches leaving loose and missing rivits. first order of buisness was to remove the rivits and have the holes welded up. I also found that after removing the bow eye and the channel that covers the front seam there was a huge hole that obviously leaked as well as several attempts at stopping the leak with gobs of silicone. After ALOT of cleaning the boat went to the weldor and the front seam was welded and the bow eye was reinforced for future mounting.

Well my oldest son and I finished pulling off all of the extra stuff off the front today and the next order of buisness is to reinforce the sides for a low floor and build a front deck for trolling motor.
I'll keep you guys posted as much as I can.
Were doing this one WEST COAST STYLE.... I dont see to many Cali guys on here so go easy on me southern boys!!

No trailer yet, still searching craigslist. My oldest son is all thumbs but he's hanging in there as a helper. I'm stoked on the build I'm going to try to keep it cheep but make it as functional as possible. I'll follow up soon with build plans and layout. Thanks for the responces guys. Feel free to ask any questions, it'll keep the ideas flowing.
