It runs great under full throttle, then it dies with no warning. It doesnt sputter out, it just dies like someone pulled the spark plug cables. It will start back up on the first or second pull almost every time. If it would do this maybe once every mile or so, i could live with it, but it will run wide open for about 100-200 yards then die, like clockwork, every time. Any ideas?

Sounds like a plan. Didn't really think about doing that, but Ithought it was fuel as well. Thank you. If thats the problem, it sounds safe to assume the fuel pump might be going bad?

With that old a motor you should replace all of your fuel lines with alcohol fuel compatable hose.
